Please select the membership type you wish to apply for. Please note all Individual members are required to be Canadian citizens, and all Corporate members must be a Canadian registered company.

Individual Memberships

Full - Full membership is restricted to those with a Master Certificate of Competency or other recognized command qualification.

Associate - Associate membership is for those with Transport Canada deck Certificates of Competency other than Master, such as Chief Officer or Watchkeeping Mate.

Cadet - Cadet memberships are for those registered a Nautical Cadet program at a approved marine institute in Canada.

Corporate Memberships

Corporate (2 members) - For Canadian companies involved in the maritime industry who wish to sponsor up to 2 regular memberships.

Corporate (7 members) - For Canadian companies involved in the maritime industry who wish to sponsor up to 7 regular memberships.

Corporate (12 members) - For Canadian companies involved in the maritime industry who wish to sponsor up to 12 regular memberships.

Newfoundland and Labrador - Based in St. John's, covering all areas in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Maritimes - Based in Halifax, covering members in all 3 Maritime provinces.

Laurentian - Based in Ottawa, with members throughout Eastern Ontario and Quebec.

Great Lakes - Based in Mississauga, covers members throughout the Great Lakes basin.

Vancouver - Based in Vancouver, covers members throughout the BC mainland.

Vancouver Island - Based in Nanaimo, covering members from Vancouver Island and the surrounding islands.

Who we are

Master Mariners of Canda is a national, not-for-profit association representing command-qualified master mariners, like-minded seafarers, industry members, and cadets across the country. Our organization takes official positions on important issues to ensure safety and to protect seafarers’ rights wherever they are working. Our work focuses on three main pillars: building awareness, supporting education and upholding advocacy.
