The Newfoundland and Labrador Division is based in St. John’s, NL with members located throughout the province. The division was reactivated in 2004 after a 12 year absence from the Master Mariners of Canada.  In 2010, the division started a Nautical Skills Competition for Nautical Science cadets enrolled at the Marine Institute of Memorial University of NL. It is held annually and has been successful engaging cadets, members of the division and industry partners. In addition, the Nautical Science Cadet Committee was recently established to mentor cadets and encourage interest in the Master Mariners of Canada.

The division meets monthly on the fourth Thursday of each month in St. Johns at the Crow’s Nest.  These meetings are also accessible virtually via MS Teams.
