Vancouver History

The Company of Master Mariners of Canada was incorporated in Vancouver, BC in 1967.  At a later date an Eastern  division joined which made it a National organization.

The first Master was Captain Allan Cabot.

Vancouver was the first Division to incorporate under the Company of Master Mariners of Canada under patent.

The head office of the Corporation resides in Vancouver, in the Province of British Columbia.

The first Directors of the Corporation were:

GERALD ORMSBY BAUGH,

JAMES PETTIGREW BROWN,

ALLAN NORMAN CABOT,

EDUARDO PETER de CUNIHA,

JOHN NORMAN HETHERINGTON,

WRAY GOODRICK HOWARD,

GLEN  McDONALD

and

NORMAN PERRIN SMITH

It is also ordained and declared that the Corporation is established for the purposes expressed herein; all party politics questions, general or local, are rigidly excluded.

And it is further ordained and declared that the income and property of the corporation, herein derived, shall be applied solely towards the promotion of the Corporation’s objects as set.

They are given under the seal of the Registrar General of Canada.
